Raleigh, NC – April 2008 –– Emergency Technologies, Inc. (ETI) has signed a contract with SunGard Public Sector to implement new Fire Records software throughout the City of Trenton, New Jersey. In late March, ETI signed a contract to implement Visual Fire and Visual Fire Mobile to be used in the field throughout the City. Anticipated go-live is scheduled for late Fall 2008, once ETI and has completed Training, Implementation, and Acceptance Testing.
Emergency Technologies’ integrated Visual Fire application includes Fire Records Management, EMS Patient Reporting, Mobile Field Reporting, Hydrant information and Structural Pre-Plans, along with several additional modules that will provide the Trenton Fire Department with modern technology that will increase operational efficiency throughout the department.
Field Reporting will aid the Department in reaching a paperless environment by streamlining Fire Department activities. Inspectors will be able to complete building inspections while in the field. Responding Fire Fighters will be able to review building pre-plan information, including what hazardous materials are on-site, while in route to an incident. The ability to see what hazards are in a building before making entry will significantly increase Fire Fighter safety and help prevent injuries and fatalities.
The Visual Fire suite, which is developed using familiar and proven Microsoft technology, operates on industry standard Windows Server and SQL Server database.

The City of Trenton is an urban community located in south central New Jersey along the Delaware River. Situated 35 miles north of Philadelphia, the City has a resident population of 85,403 as of the 2000 U.S. census. Encompassing 7.5 square miles, the City is very densely populated with an average population per square mile of 11,387. The Fire Department provides services such as water recovery, rescue services and hazardous materials response. In addition, a Technical Rescue Team was developed and trained in various areas such as Building Collapse Rescue, Confined Space Rescue and Rope Rescue. At present there are seven fire stations located strategically throughout the City. There are approximately 245 uniformed firefighters in the Department and 10 civilian employees.
