Goochland County, Virginia Fire Department signs contract for Emergency Technologies Visual Fire

Raleigh, NC – June 2008 –– Emergency Technologies, Inc. (ETI) announces it has signed a contract with Goochland County, Virginia to implement a new Fire/EMS Records Management System for Goochland County Fire-Rescue.

Raleigh, NC – June 2008 –– Emergency Technologies, Inc. (ETI) announces it has signed a contract with Goochland County, Virginia to implement a new Fire/EMS Records Management System for Goochland County Fire-Rescue.

In late April, ETI signed a contract to implement Visual Fire and Visual Fire Mobile. Visual Fire is an application that integrates fire incident reporting, EMS Patient Care Reporting, Mobile Field Reporting, Training and certification records, Hydrant information and Structural Pre-Plans, along with several additional modules that will provide the Goochland County Fire Department with modern technology that will increase operational efficiency throughout the department. Visual Fire will also enable Goochland Fire-Rescue to submit fire incident data to the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) and EMS pre-hospital care data to the Commonwealth of Virginia Office of EMS. The system is anticipated to go-live in late 2008.

Field Reporting component of Visual Fire will aid the Department in reaching a paperless environment by streamlining Fire Department activities. Additionally, responding Fire Fighters will be able to review building preplan information, including what hazardous materials are on-site, while in route to an incident. The ability to see what hazards are in a building before making entry will significantly increase Fire Fighter safety and help prevent injuries and fatalities.

The Visual Fire suite, which is developed using familiar and proven Microsoft technology, operates on industry standard Windows Server and SQL Server database.

“We are honored that Goochland County has selected Emergency Technologies to meet their Fire and EMS reporting needs, and look forward to implementing a solution to help streamline the processes of the fire and EMS professionals working in the field,” said Gar Keaton, president of Emergency Technologies, Inc.
