Raleigh, North Carolina – May 4, 2009 — The National EMS Information System's (NEMSIS) Technical Assistance Center has certified Emergency Technologies, Inc. (ETI) as a NEMSIS gold compliant software vendor. ETI’s Visual EMS meets the data gathering, reporting and security requirements established by the National Emergency Medical Services Information System (NEMSIS).
Emergency Technologies has worked very hard to conform to this emerging, national standard to ensure that Visual EMS has the ability to collect and export the NEMSIS requirements. The NEMSIS requirements are very comprehensive, encompassing more than 400 data fields, specific to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) 2.2.1 dataset.
“ETI has embraced the new, NEMSIS standard, and is committed to providing cutting-edge solutions that meet the needs of pre-hospital EMS providers.” says Kyle Breischaft, President and CEO of Emergency Technologies, Inc. “We are excited that Visual EMS has earned this national certification.”
ETI's Visual EMS e-PCR module manages information on patients and the care that was provided to them by the personnel on the scene of an incident. It is fully integrated with CAD systems and customizable to handle an agency’s codes and protocols. Data stored in Visual EMS can be exported for reporting, billing or other purposes and is HIPAA compliant.
