Executive Management Team

Kyle Breischaft

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Breischaft is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Emergency Technologies, Inc. where he focuses on the long-term strategic development of the company and manages day-to-day operations. Mr. Breischaft directs and coordinates the operational efforts to meet the strategic goals of the company, which include fueling ETI’s continued growth and increased market presence.

Prior to his appointment as President and CEO, Mr. Breischaft was ETI’s Chief Operating Officer and was the Sales & Marketing Director since he started with ETI in 2003. Mr. Breischaft brings over ten years of public safety experience, working in various capacities including his work as a certified Fire Fighter, licensed EMT, a sworn Police Officer, Detective and as a fully cross-trained Public Safety Officer. During his public safety tenure, Kyle received a departmental award and special recognition from the Salvation Army for his service during an assignment in which he responded to New York City after the September 11th attacks, where he provided critical incident stress debriefing to NYPD officers.

In addition to Mr. Breischaft’s public safety experience, he has a diverse and entrepreneurial background including military service and co-founding another business unrelated to public safety or technology. He holds Associate’s degrees in Fire Science and Fire Fighting, Law Enforcement and a B.S. in Criminal Justice. He also has been awarded the Certificate of Director Professionalism which is issued by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). In addition to serving on ETI’s Board of Directors, Mr. Breischaft also serves on the Board of the Triangle Region Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Board of Directors for Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED).


Tim Pannell

Director of Software Development

As Director of Software Development, for Emergency Technologies, Inc., Mr. Pannell is responsible for the architecture and engineering of all ETI software applications and technologies.  Mr. Pannell directs his team through the entire engineering process including requirements, design, research & development, testing, support, beta cycle, releases, and service packs.  He is accountable to deliver and support software with the highest quality end customer experience in the industry while achieving compliance to business and technical requirements.  Mr. Pannell stays abreast of latest industry practices and regularly collaborates with the Management Team on strategic planning and business direction.

Prior to his tenure at ETI, Mr. Pannell held the position of Program Manager and directed engineering of the ZOLL FireRMS product.  He held a Senior Software Engineer/Tech Lead role at InvestLink Technologies, and a programmer position at Admit Computer Services where he managed development of the IMPACT Municipal Clerk System. 
 
Mr. Pannell studied Computer Science at the State University of New York in Stony Brook and performed multiple tasks in the US Navy as an Operations Specialist, including surveillance, dissemination of tactical combat data, electronic warfare, extraction, and search & rescue.
 

Duncan Kerr

Controller

Mr. Kerr has over 15 years of entrepreneurial experience working within the technology industry, and has experience with all aspects of management including finance, business development, human resources, marketing, and customer relations.  

Mr. Kerr worked with ISG, a computer software company that developed a series of products including benefits administration software and interactive voice response (IVR) applications for healthcare organizations.  In addition, Mr. Kerr has also served as interim controller for a rapidly growing software as a Service (SaaS) company that provides websites and services for medical practices.  

Mr. Kerr is responsible for implementing internal controls and on an on-going basis maintains tax compliance, cash flow planning, budgeting and sales forecasting.  He assists the Executive Management Team and the Board of Directors with strategic planning.

Mr. Kerr has a B.S. in Business from the School of Business and Accountancy at Wake Forest University.


Jason Benjamin

Director of Technical Support

Mr. Benjamin directs the day to day operations of the Technical Support Department at Emergency Technologies, Inc. As Director, Mr. Benjamin works with the ETI Technical Support team to assure that each customer’s system is fully operational and that all reported issues are addressed accurately in a timely fashion. He monitors the internal software tracking system that allows Technical Support staff to document and track all reported Technical support issues. As part of the Executive Management Team Mr. Benjamin, a strong advocate for its customers, meets and collaborates with all departments, including Software Development and Quality Assurance daily to make sure that the customer’s needs are ETI’s primary focus. Mr. Benjamin works closely with ETI’s customers in scheduling and coordinating all efforts necessary to ensure successful software upgrades. This process includes personally testing the upgrade in-house first against a copy of the customer’s database, upgrading their Training system for their review and then performing the Production system upgrade on the mutually agreed upon scheduled date. When ETI’s customers migrate to new servers; which often involves operating system and SQL upgrades, he provides guidance, assistance and documentation as needed to ensure a smooth transition and continued functionality of ETI’s software.   

Prior to his appointment as Director of ETI Technical Support, Mr. Benjamin began working in 2005 as a Technical Support Engineer before being promoted to Technical Support Team Lead and Technical Support Manager. Prior to his tenure at ETI Mr. Benjamin worked previously for Election Systems and Software, Lockheed Martin/U.S. EPA , Comark Incorporated/IBM, and Software House International as Technical Support Technician/Engineer, Project Manager, Computer Systems Analyst, Technical Team Lead Supervisor, Hardware/Software Configuration Technician and Help Desk Specialist.
 
Mr. Benjamin graduated from Seton Hall University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  He is A+ Certified and has acquired Technical Support Certification from The Chubb Institute.

 

Yolanda Hyman

Quality Assurance Manager

The role  of the QA department at Emergency Technologies, Inc.  is to assure the overall quality of the software application and technologies.  As Quality Assurance Manager, Mrs. Hyman manages the regression and feature/functionality testing during each release cycle.  She works closely with the Software Development team to understand feature requirements and any updates needed to the software.  She makes sure that the software is adequately tested to assure that it meets requirements with a high level of quality before delivery to our customers.

 Mrs. Hyman began her career as a software developer for the switching division of AT&T.  During her time there she also filled the roles of System Architect and Implementation Engineer before an ISO certification initiative sparked her interest in Quality Assurance.  As a part of the ISO initiative she was asked to assist in developing a quality process for that AT&T location.   The location received its certification and Mrs. Hyman moved to a Quality Assurance position.   She has remained in that field and constantly strives to maintain a high level of software quality that will keep our customers satisfied. 

 Mrs. Hyman holds a B.S. of Computer Science from S.C. State University.  Prior to joining the team at Emergency Technologies, Inc., she served as Lead Quality Assurance Engineer at Nortel Networks.
